Real Time Information
In April 2013, HM Revenue and Customer launched Real Time Information (RTI), reporting payroll data required on or before the contractual payment date.
The RTI Full Payment Submission (FPS) is a means of sharing information between an employer and HMRC about employee and pension payments.
The RTI Employer Payment Submission (EPS) is the employer's monthly declaration submission.
Most things go smoothly, but data gets out of alignment occasionally and can cause significant challenges.
Find out about how the RTI data exchange works, what can go wrong and what options there are for fixing it.
