Simon has been shaping payroll expertise since 1984, influencing payroll software development and participating in HMRC consultative groups. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and one of the first to earn an MSc in Payroll Management, Simon is a recognised author, speaker, and advocate for the profession. He chairs IreeN, the electronic exchange with government user network, and the BCS Payroll Specialist Group. Simon’s accolades include the Strathearn Award for Lifetime Achievement and CIPP Person of the Year.
Andrew McAulay, BA Hons FCIPP CMgr MCMI, Head of EMEA Payroll, Illumina
With 25 years in payroll across UK and global roles, Andrew has worked in-house and for bureaus across industries like law, engineering, and genomics. Currently Head of EMEA Payroll at Illumina, he is a Fellow of the CIPP and holds a BA Hons in Business Management. Andrew is passionate about advancing payroll as a profession.
