ESG initiatives

Adopted principles

Our sustainable procurement commitment is the process of sourcing goods and services responsibly to satisfy our commercial and operational needs in a way that creates a positive impact to society whilst minimising damage to the environment.

This commitment is detailed in the ESG report within our annual reports found: Environment, social and governance initiatives | SD Worx on the SD Worx website.

During the RFx due diligence (when onboarding new suppliers) our procurement department will ask specific questions to candidate suppliers aligned to our ESG initiatives. If it is found that a supplier does not have the right basics in place to support this, we will take this into consideration during the further supplier awarding process.

SD Worx has a standardised Third-Party Assurance Framework in place for its key suppliers. The framework covers a range of areas including security, compliance and ESG-related issues. It provides key insights into our partner and supplier landscape and gives us confidence that we are working with quality suppliers who share SD Worx's values and goals.

The following describes some of the initiatives that we have adopted.

Policies

SD Worx operates many important policies across its organisation. Dedicated teams are responsible for putting in place and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure compliance relevant laws and regulations such as the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

SD Worx's comprehensive procurement policy underlines the need for due diligence from our partners and suppliers.

In 2025, SD Worx are informing our up and downstream partners about our external Code of Conduct. As a HR provider, SD Worx is committed to setting a good example for others and we want our suppliers to uphold the same standards. SD Worx expects its suppliers to provide an optimal, healthy, safe, and stimulating working environment where the diversity, integrity, and dignity of each individual are safeguarded. SD Worx requires that suppliers will comply with, and respect, internationally recognised human rights, including the fundamental rights embedded in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the European Convention on Human Rights, and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.

Suppliers and Partners

Structural partners of SD Worx are invited to participate in an extensive questionnaire before collaborations begin. SD Worx only partners with key suppliers, relying on thorough advance screening to ensure that they share the SD Worx principles. Where SD Worx suspects that (potential) customers and suppliers has breached a statutory requirement or has been negligent regarding the fundamental principles and rights that apply, (further) collaboration is not possible. Abroad, SD Worx operates through fixed partner companies, which we have thoroughly screened.

Human Rights

SD Worx safeguards human rights within our own organisation by complying with all national and international laws. In doing so, we prevent our complicity in human rights violations, avoid discrimination and protect vulnerable groups.

Future focus

SD Worx understands the importance of making year-on-year progress in tackling modern slavery and human trafficking. SD Worx shall build on efforts to ensure modern slavery is not present across its operations and supply chain.
